This Is The Kit share new single “More Change”
"More Change" is taken from the band’s new album, Careful Of Your Keepers, which is produced by Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals).
Featuring Gruff Rhys on backing vocals, the track is released alongside an animated video created by Benjamin Jones that brings everyday objects to life as it follows along to the song’s heartfelt lyrics.
The band will also play a run of shows which expands on their biggest UK and European tour to date, which leads up to a headlining show at London’s Barbican in November. Also announced today is an extensive set of in-store performances in record shops across the UK, in June.
Jones explains the video: “With this video I wanted to create something that felt homemade, organic and very much alive. Using very simple puppetry with some old coat hangers and some basic stop motion (and some surprisingly willing neighbors who lent me their faces) I’ve tried to create a few characters and scenarios which are connected in some ways, but also reflect the themes I picked up from the music - sadness, compromise, exploring new ground, and finding new ways to help each other move forward."
Careful Of Your Keepers is due out on 9 June via Rough Trade Records and is available to pre-order now.
