This Is The Kit share final album preview with “Stuck In A Room"
The quartet of Kate Stables (guitar/vocals), Rozi Plain (bass/vocals), Neil Smith (guitar), and Jamie Whitby-Coles (drums) release new single "Stuck In A Room".
The vibrant track arrives alongside a full band live performance video directed by Charlie Moore and filmed at Cornwall, England’s beautiful Minack Theatre, an open-air venue constructed above a gully with a rocky granite outcrop jutting into the sea.
Of the song, Stables explains: “It's not so much about being stuck in a literal room (although I suppose it is a bit) but more about getting stuck in the imaginary restrictive rooms we create for ourselves. The behavioural patterns that aren't always very helpful to us. The loops we go round and round in. The way we deal with what other people expect of us. That sort of thing."
"Stuck In A Room” follows singles “More Change” and “Inside Outside". The band recently performed all three singles for WNYC’s New Sounds and Stables discussed the album with host John Schaefer.
Careful Of Your Keepers is due out on 9 June via Rough Trade Records and is available to pre-order now.
