
The White Stripes, Outkast, and Soundgarden among Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2025 inductees
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has unveiled its 2025 class of inductees for its 40th anniversary edition.
Among the inductees are Outkast, Chubby Checker, Bad Company, and Joe Cocker, who are first-time nominees. Cyndi Lauper, Soundgarden, and The White Stripes who have all been previously nominated for the honour, are also going to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.

The Award for Musical Excellence has been awarded to bassist Carol Kaye – who has played with the likes of Wrecking Crew, Frank Sinatra, The Beach Boys, Stevie Wonder, and Barbra Streisand – as well as session pianist Nicky Hopkins, and producer Thom Bell. Salt-N-Pepa and the late singer-songwriter Warren Zevon will both be presented with the Musical Influence Award.
