The Weeknd cancels LA show after losing his voice mid-song
On Saturday (3 September) The Weeknd cancelled his LA show during the fourth song of the night due to losing his voice, and has promised to make it up to fans with a new date.
The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, only managed to perform "Alone Again", "Gasoline", "Sacrifice" and "How Do I Make You Love Me?" during his Saturday (3 September) show at LA's SoFi Stadium, and abruptly stopped the show, telling the crowd, "I just lost my voice. This is killing me. I don’t want to stop the show but I can’t give you the concert I want to give you right now."
He also shared a statement on socials, saying he felt his "voice go out during the first song and I'm devastated," and apologised again before concluding with a promise to "make it up to you with a new date."
