The Strokes have been recording a new album with Rick Rubin in Costa Rica
Rick Rubin has revealed that he's been working on The Strokes' new album, and they've been recording it in Costa Rica at a house on top of a mountain.
Yesterday (12 October) Rick Rubin appeared on the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, and discussed working on The Strokes' new album in Costa Rica. The legendary producer previously worked with the band on 2020's The New Abnormal.
Rubin said, "A few months ago I was in Costa Rica recording a new album with The Strokes, and we rented this house up on top of the mountain, and set up the band outside."
"So they're playing, it's like they're doing a concert for the ocean on the top of a mountain," Rubin continued. "It was incredible, and we did that every day playing out - I'll show you videos later on - and they didn't wanna leave, it was like the best experience."
