The Smile give update on new music: "We’re deep in recording"
The Smile, aka Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood and Tom Skinner, have shared an update on their new music in an email to fans, revealing that they're seven weeks "deep in recording".
Back in February The Smile shared an image of a tape recorder, leading fans to think they were already back in the studio recording some new music to follow up their 2022 debut album A Light for Attracting Attention. In a new email to fans, the band, made up of Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, as well as former Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner, confirmed that they've been busy working on new material.
As well as adding some more North American tour dates to their summer schedule, The Smile shared an image from the studio, and wrote, "We're deep in recording, week 7. Reel 15."
