The Murder Capital preview new album with fourth cut "Return My Head"
The Murder Capital have commenced 2023 with "Return My Head", the fourth single from their upcoming album Gigi’s Recovery.
"Return My Head" is teamed with a video directed by the band's Gabriel Paschal Blake, and will appear on Gigi's Recovery with last year's "Ethel", "A Thousand Lives" and "Only Good Things" singles.
Lead vocalist James McGovern says of the new track, ""Return My Head" was written in a place of pure frustration, feeling like our sanity had been unwillingly removed through periods of isolation. All I wanted at this point was to get my head back, and to throw it away again. But on my own terms. ‘Return my head, and throw it to the crowd'."
Gigi's Recovery will follow their 2019 debut album When I Have Fears, and is produced by John Congleton.
"Return My Head" is out now. The Murder Capital's Gigi's Recovery album will arrive through Human Season Records on 20 January, and is available to pre-order now. They'll play London's O2 Forum Kentish Town on 23 February. Visit themurdercapital.com for tickets.
