Vaults headline the ICA in London
Last night Vaults played their biggest headline show to date, selling-out the ICA in London.
The enigmatic trio lit up the so-called blogosphere last year with “Cry No More”, which they have followed-up with two equally strong singles, a sell-out show at The Courtyard, alongside a handful of festival appearances this summer.
The Virgin/EMI-signed outfit showcased their experimental brand of alt-pop at the suitably artistic venue and ran through a sizeable chunk of unreleased material, as well as their aforementioned breakout track, “Premonitions” - which opened the set - and current single “Lifespan”.
Bolstered by a live trio of strings and further piano accompaniment, Vaults’ front-woman takes centre-stage, prancing around the stage and reappearing for the latter stages of the set with a crown of glow sticks before the band closed the show on a typically epic and haunting new track.
