Pumarosa play sold-out Village Underground show with just a handful of songs to their name
Pumarosa sold out their headline show at London's Village Underground last night, treating the crowd to what appeared to be the full breadth of their material.
It must be noted that the East London five piece have released little music so far: a four-track self-titled EP, a few singles, and a couple of demos. The full fruits of their labour was thus to be expected.
But Pumarosa did all that and more, performing other songs that, judging by the reaction of the crowd, have become live favourites since they became the word on everyone's lips in late 2015.
"Cecile", "Honey", "Dragonfly", and their seven-minute epic "Priestess" resounded around Village Underground's lofty highs, with frontwoman Isabel Muñoz-Newsome beckoning the crowd to dance.
In truth the crowd was more frozen in a trance than free-limbed, seemingly bewitched by the quintet's mix of psych, rock, dance, and more.
