Pawws plays debut show at East London's Birthdays
North London’s Lucy Taylor made a trip East last night for her first live outing as Pawws.
The packed, sweltering basement room is not known for its reliably great sound but last night the cards were in Taylor’s favour and were certainly bolstered by her naturally confident stage presence, something which was fostered by live appearances with the likes of MGMT.
Spotlighted in turquoise against a pink background Pawws rolled out her 80s inspired synths, cooing Madonna-esque vocals weaving amongst rumbling bass lines and the occasional flash of that Drive soundtrack aesthetic.
Playing a 5 song set, Taylor plays it smart by keeping the now dancing audience wanting more.
