Palomino Party dazzle in Cardiff ahead of their new EP
-
There’s something about Linford Hydes. He doesn’t just sing when he’s up on stage, he performs, inspired as much by the theatre as he is by David Bowie. He danced around the stage, with his cheeks adorned by paint, and had the kind of stage presence that captured your imagination as well as your heart.
However, it is not just a matter of Hydes and his dance moves – Palomino Party also have the songs to back up the stage theatrics. “Love the Knife” and ‘Congo’ created an atmosphere of excitement that got the crowd worked up into dizzying heights of excitement. They most definitely brought the party to Cardiff’s Four Bars.
Whichever way you look at it, this night was a shining example of a band who have so much potential to be unlocked. With tails of gypsy princes and songs that need to be danced to, the release of their new EP could not be more highly anticipated.
