Katy B names new album at headline London show
Playing to a packed XOYO basement in London last night, Katy B excitedly announced her second album will be called Little Red.
After kicking the evening’s proceedings off with the now familiar live double hitter of ‘Aaliyah’ and ‘What Love is Made Of ‘ (the first single to be taken from the new album) Katy, clutching a sparkling microphone, cried “Would you like to hear a song from my new album?” to resounding cheers of “Yes.” Speaking to the audience further she asked “Do you want to know what it’s called?”, the same answer followed, to which she responded “It’s called ‘Little Red” before almost exasperatingly exclaiming how good it felt to say that and introducing a new song called ‘Next Thing.’
The Mercury nominated singer then went on to air songs such as ‘Sapphire Blue’, written with Jacques Greene, ‘All My Lovin’ (produced by Joker), long played live number ‘Hot Like Fire’ and the show stopping ‘Crying For No Reason’ – a slower track that really showcased her vocal talents.
A triple hit of ‘On A Mission’, new single ‘5AM‘ and classic ‘Lights On’ brought the evening to a dance-fuelled close.
