Ballet School play extended set at The Lexington
Bella Union signees Ballet School returned to London last night to bring tracks from their debut album and EP release to life at The Lexington.
Comprised of three multi-national band members - singer Rosie Blair, guitarist Michel Jun Collet, and drummer Louis McGuire - the trio who first bonded over a mutual love of Cocteau Twins on Berlin's U-Bahn underground were in their element at the busy North London venue.
Songs from their debut album The Dew Lasts An Hour included singles "Cherish", "Lux" and "Heartbeat Overdrive" as well as tracks "Jade" and "Crush".
The crowd demanded multiple encores where the band played "All Things Return At Night", a stripped-back version of "Heartbeat Overdrive" ("Heartbeat Underdrive") and older track "Boys Again", which has never been performed live.
