The Last Dinner Party help to raise £58,000 for Bankuet during the recent UK/EU tour
The Last Dinner Party have teamed up with zero waste food bank donation platform Bankuet, to raise funds to feed the increasing number of people forced to turn to food banks this winter.
The band’s fans collectively raised over £29,000 through their ‘Ribbons for Provisions’ campaign across The Last Dinner Party’s recent sold-out UK tour, which has since been doubled by the band themselves, becoming the most successful fundraising initiative ever run by Bankuet. These funds, which will help feed 1900 people for a week, provide a vital lifeline to UK food banks as they continue to service an increasing number of people facing food insecurity.
The Last Dinner Party’s campaign, “Ribbons for Provisions,” follows the success and impact of their US tour initiative, where fans were encouraged to bring food donations in exchange for a ribbon. For their UK tour, The Last Dinner Party teamed up with Bankuet to enable fans to donate digitally in exchange for a ribbon at gigs or online. Bankuet’s mission is to get food banks what they need when they need it and to make donating to food banks more accessible.
