The Kills present the final track from their forthcoming album, "Wasterpiece"
Ahead of the release of their forthcoming sixth studio album, God Games, The Kills have shared the final single "Wasterpiece".
Following critically acclaimed singles "New York", "LA Hex", and "103", which came alongside the album's announcement, The Kills share new single, "Wasterpiece".
Where the preceding singles found The Kills exploring anxieties, both personal and collective, around a sense of place and global inhabitability, they come in swinging on "Wasterpiece". The song is joined by a meditative and sardonic video from director Noel Paul (Mitski, "Bug Like An Angel", Slowdive, "Kisses") which places The Kills as witnesses to a tantrum of entitlement on a golf course.
After the writing process began in 2019, the duo decamped to an old church to record the album with Academy and GRAMMY Award-winning producer Paul Epworth (Adele, Paul McCartney), who was their very first sound engineer in 2002.
The forthcoming album, God Games arrives on 27 October via Domino, and is available to pre-order.
