The Ivors: Live performances to return in 2023 with Sting, RAYE and Matilda Mann confirmed
The Ivors also announce their partnership with Amazon Music who will host the first ever livestream of the event.
Both RAYE and Matilda Mann are nominated for an Ivor Novello this year, and as previously announced, Sting will become a Fellow of the Ivors Academy in what is the highest honour the Academy bestows. He will join previous winners including Sir Paul McCartney, Kate Bush CBE and Joan Armatrading MBE.
Amazon Music are hosting the first ever livestream from The Ivors featuring live coverage from the red carpet, the performances, and backstage interviews with the winners. The pre-show stream will also include highlights from an Amazon Music panel discussion “50 Years of Hip Hop”, recorded earlier in the week which will feature Wretch 32, DYO, JP Patterson and Michael Adex. The discussion will be centred around the evolution of hip hop from '70s North America to UK rap, hip hop, grime, and more.
The livestream will be presented by +44 Podcast hosts Zeze Millz and Sideman, as well as radio DJ Zach Sang who will host a special edition of The Zach Sang Show, featuring a performance and chat with Amazon Music Breakthrough UK: Artist to Watch 2023 winner Henry Moodie.
Exclusive Amazon Original tracks have also been announced from Matilda Mann, Henry Moodie and Kurt Vile. The tracks will see each artist tributing three of the 2023 Ivor Novello winners. These will be released on 18 May and will be available to listen to exclusively on Amazon Music.
The Ivor Novello Awards will take place at Grosvenor House in London on 18 May. For more information, visit ivorsacademy.com
