The internet reacts to Oasis reunion tour: "If Oasis can do it, so can One Direction"
The wait is over: Oasis have announced their reunion tour.
Following Liam Gallagher's headline set at Reading and Leeds Festivals, last weekend, a clip dated "27.08.24" was shared to his and Noel's respective social media accounts, as well as the official Oasis one. It has now been revealed that they will come together for a reunion tour in 2025 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their second album, What's The Story (Morning Glory).
Taking to their socials, they wrote: "The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised", as they announced a string of dates including shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin.
“This is it, this is happening”

The internet has been having fun with the news, making references to both Blur and Taylor Swift's recent legendary tours, with one person writing: "The oasis reunion is just the eras tour for people who can't stand up without their knees sounding like an elephant walking on bubble wrap."
"So many tweets regarding Oasis and tickets and folk saying only the true fans should get them, I've loved Oasis ever since they released Parklife so it's only right I get first dibs on them," another person said, amongst many jokes about the band's long feud with Blur – "Blur should launch comeback gigs on the exact same dates as Oasis to really give it that authentic 90s vibe."
