The Hold Steady have shared a second taster of their forthcoming album The Price of Progress titled "Sixers".

After announcing The Price of Progress with the first single "Sideways Skull" last month, The Hold Steady have delivered a second cut from the record titled "Sixers".

On Twitter, they wrote of the song, "This song had its origins back in the pandemic. I was staying in a building that housed a lot of young professionals & I came up with a story about two of them trying to make a connection. In the end, they find it’s just not there."

The Price of Progress will follow 2021's Open Door Policy album, and is once again produced by Bonny Light Horseman's Josh Kaufman.

"Sixers" is out now. The Hold Steady's The Price of Progress album will arrive via their own Positive Jams label on 31 March. They play London's Electric Ballroom on 10 and 11 March. Visit theholdsteady.net for tickets.
