The Blessed Madonna reveals RAYE was original vocalist on Kylie collaboration, "Edge of Saturday Night"
Last night, DJ and producer The Blessed Madonna joined MistaJam’s evening show on Capital Dance to discuss her recent collaborations.
The Blessed Madonna revealed that BRIT-Award winning artist Raye was the original vocalist on her hit track "Edge of Saturday Night", before dropping out due to other release commitments. The Blessed Madonna – real name Marea Stamper – then explained how her manager surprised her by putting her on the phone with pop icon Kylie Minogue, who went on to record vocals for the final track.
She also shared an anecdote from the music video shoot of "Edge of Saturday Night", that she put Kylie's foot in her mouth.
At the time of the song's release, Kylie said: “Almost 30 years after my first stay at Pikes Hotel in Ibiza, it was a total joy to revisit this iconic destination. I loved sharing this unforgettable moment with The Blessed Madonna and am so happy the excitement and energy of this hot August club adventure was captured in the video for ‘Edge Of Saturday Night’. I was so delighted to be asked by Marea to be part of this track and can’t wait for fans to hear it."
