The Bear's Jeremy Allen White in talks to play Bruce Springsteen
Jeremy Allen White is reportedly in talks to star as Bruce Springsteen in a forthcoming film about the making of his 1982 album, Nebraska.
Deadline reports that Scott Stuber, in his first project since leaving Netflix, has teamed up with Gotham Group and is in talks with A24 about creating a movie adaptation of Warren Zanes’ 2023 book, Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska. Springsteen is said to have recorded the album on four-track cassette in his bedroom a few years before himself and the E Street Band were writing the seminal album, Born in the USA.
Springsteen and his manager Jon Landau are said to be involved in the project, with more details to be revealed soon, but it is reported that Jeremy Allen White is in the running to star as Springsteen. Shooting would be expected to start once he's wrapped up filming season four of The Bear.
