The Anchoress reworks Radiohead's "Climbing Up The Walls" for Bandcamp Friday
The Anchoress has released a rework of Radiohead's OK Computer track "Climbing Up The Walls" to coincide with Bandcamp Friday.
After delivering a rework of Manic Street Preachers' "This Is Yesterday" for February's Bandcamp Friday, The Anchoress has continued the monthly rework series by tackling Radiohead's OK Computer song "Climbing Up The Walls".
The Anchoress, real name Catherine Anne Davies, wrote of the new rework on Bandcamp: "OK Computer was kind of a gateway album for me. I remember hearing ‘Paranoid Android’ on the car radio for the first time while I was in the back of the car after school with my Mum in Sainsbury’s car park. I was just mesmerised. They were also the band that taught me how to play guitar. Or rather I taught myself, clumsily learning the strange chords shapes from the tablature book I got that Christmas after I permanently “borrowed” my sister’s acoustic guitar.
"I hope you enjoy what I’ve conjured from my armoury of synths and bleeps that tries to capture some of that "teenage feeling", as Neko Case puts it…"
The Anchoress' rework of Radiohead's "Climbing Up The Walls" is available on Bandcamp now for a limited time.
