The 1975's Matty Healy mocks Yungblud following tweet about recent podcast appearance
Matty Healy of The 1975 has appeared to mock Yungblud in a new Instagram video after the artist's recent tweet which seemed to call out Healy for being a "privileged white" dude.
Yesterday (19 February) on his Instagram Story, the 1975's Matty Healy shared a video of him appearing to impersonate Yungblud. In the clip, he said, "You alright guys, I’m so fuckin’ angry. Someone’s blown themselves up in fuckin' the Ukraine and we’re not gonna stand for that because we’re the fuckin' children, the fuckin' underrated youth fucking generation and that’s what we stand for."
Healy's video mocking Yungblud comes after Yungblud's recent tweet, which appeared to respond to Healy's appearance on The Adam Friedland Show. Yungblud wrote, "love listening to three privileged white dudes sit around and objectify a young black female artist who’s blowing up. welcome to your 30’s i guess …"
The podcast saw Healy, Adam Friedland and Nick Mullen discuss and speculate Ice Spice's ethnicity, and mock Chinese and Hawaiian accents. Healy also questioned why Harry Styles gets a "pass" for queerbaiting.
