Taylor Swift's lawyer fans are collaborating on a campaign against Ticketmaster
Taylor Swift fans that are also lawyer are teaming up on a campaign to take action against Ticketmaster it cancelled The Eras Tour ticket sale date.
Last week Ticketmaster cancelled the public sale date for Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour after millions of fans crashed the site, leaving a huge amount of people without tickets, during the pre-sale. Swift responded last Friday (18 November) on socials, saying that she and her team "asked them, multiple times, if they could handle this kind of demand and we were assured they could." Swift also wrote that it "really pisses me off that a lot of them feel like they went through several bear attacks to get them."
Ticketmaster then apologised for the "terrible experience" through a blog post. "We strive to make ticket buying as easy as possible for fans, but that hasn’t been the case for many people trying to buy tickets for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour. First, we want to apologise to Taylor and all of her fans – especially those who had a terrible experience trying to purchase tickets," Ticketmaster wrote.
Since then, a bunch of Swift fans that are also lawyers have made a group chat called "Vigilante Legal", and are working together to figure out ideas on how to take action against Ticketmaster. According to Mashable, 35 fans that were mostly lawyers joined the group in less than 24 hours, and it's now a legitimate LLC with social accounts explaining legal jargon, and providing templates for people to report Ticketmaster.
Last week, a Swift fan called Blake Barnett wrote on Twitter after The Eras Tour chaotic pre-sale, "WE ARE REPORTING TICKETMASTER TO THE FTC [Federal Trade Commission] AND DRAFTING A BRIEF TO HOPEFULLY USE TO ASSIST STATE AG’S AND POLITICIANS IN TAKING THEM DOWN. IF NOT, WE’LL SUE OURSELVES :). FOR ALL THE SALTY 1L’S THIS IS NOT A CLASS ACTION."

Barnett told Mashable, "Something needs to be done. They're violating antitrust laws. The monopoly merger should have never been allowed to happen between Live Nation and Ticketmaster."
Swift announced The Eras tour at the start of the month. Currently, there's only US dates available with support from Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, Haim, MUNA, girl in red, Beabadoobee, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams and OWENN. She confirmed at the time that "international dates" will be "announced as soon as we can."
It's currently unknown when Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour tickets will go on sale.
