Taylor Swift's Nashville show delayed by four hours due to bad weather
Taylor Swift spent the past weekend at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, for the latest string of dates in The Eras Tour.
During the second of three sold-out nights on Friday night (6 May), Swift announced the highly anticipated Speak Now (Taylor's Version) after months of speculation from fans.
On the same evening, Swift brought out Phoebe Bridgers for a debut performance of “Nothing New" – one of the "from the Vault" singles on Red (Taylor's Version). Taking to her socials, Swift described the whole experience as "wild".
It fills me with such pride and joy to announce that my version of Speak Now will be out July 7 (just in time for July 9th, iykyk 😆) I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their… pic.twitter.com/oa0Vs5kszr

Ahead of the final night on the Nashville run of shows, Swift acknowledged that the weather was due to take a turn, but reassured fans that she was "ready to play".
Storms in the area forced fans inside the stadium, as lightning approached the venue. The shelter order remained in place from around 5:40pm local time until 9:25pm when the stadium announced that the weather advisory had been lifted in a tweet that referenced lyrics from Swift's 2010 hit "Sparks Fly" – "Drop everything now! Meet me in the pouring rain!", the Stadium wrote.
Due to the delay, Gracie Abrams and Phoebe Bridgers were unable to perform their opening sets. Swift arrived on stage just after 10pm, and rather than cutting the set short in order to adhere to any curfews, she delivered the full 42-song performance and eventually left the stage around 1am.
"We’ve been waiting for hours to play for you,” she said, addressing the crowd. “You’ve been waiting for hours. The mutual love between us right now – you waiting and doing that for us is making me feel fantastic, Nashville.”
During the surprise segment of the show, Swift was joined by The National’s Aaron Dessner, to play a second guitar on the Midnights bonus song, “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve".
