Taylor Swift shares self-directed video for "Anti-Hero" starring Mary Elizabeth Ellis, John Early and Mike Birbiglia as her children
The first Midnights video for "Anti-Hero" has landed, which was written and directed by Taylor Swift and also stars Mary Elizabeth Ellis, John Early and Mike Birbiglia as her children (and daughter-in-law).
"Anti-Hero" is the first Midnights track to receive a music video, and the five-minute cut, written and directed by Swift, features three versions of Swift, as well as a funeral scene where Mary Elizabeth Ellis, John Early and Mike Birbiglia star as her children (and daughter-in-law), uncovering Swift's will which leaves only "13 cents" for each of them and requests for her beach house to be turned into a cat sanctuary.
Ahead of releasing Midnights, Swift teased the album with a trailer during the third quarter of the Cardinals v Saints game as part of Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime, and it previewed parts of the Midnights music videos. The end of the clip also revealed some guests who will appear in the videos along Swift, which includes Haim, Laura Dern, Dita Von Teese, Jack Antonoff, Laith Ashley and Pat McGrath.
Earlier today (21 October) Swift unveiled the "special very chaotic surprise" that was teased at the start of the week, which is a 3am Edition of Midnights featuring seven bonus songs.
