Taylor Swift is Spotify's top artist of 2022 in the UK
Spotify has unveiled its top artists, songs and albums of 2022 on the platform, and Taylor Swift is the most listened to artist of this year in the UK.
As well as sharing details about this year's Wrapped campaign and personalised user experience, Spotify has revealed its top artists, songs, albums and podcasts of 2022 across the UK and the world, collecting data from 456 million global listeners.
Bad Bunny is Spotify's top global artist of 2022, followed by Taylor Swift, who is also the UK's top Spotify artist of the year. 2022 is a record-breaking year for Bad Bunny with the end-of-year Spotify lists, as he's the first artist in the platform's history to top the global artist list three years in a row.
Harry Styles' "As It Was" tops both the global and UK list for Spotify's top songs of 2022, followed by Glass Animals' "Heat Waves" across both lists.
Styles' third album Harry's House is the top Spotify album of 2022 in the UK, and places second on the global list behind Bad Bunny's Un Verano Sin Ti.
The streaming platform has also launched its 2022 personalised Wrapped experience, which will provide new data stories on top of top artists, genres, songs, podcasts and minutes including "Listening Personality", and the interactive story "Audio Day".
The feature is also branching out to Roblox, where there'll be Spotify Wrapped-inspired quests, games, virtual merch, and photo booth opportunities with artists.
FC Barcelona will also be involved due to the football club being partnered with the streaming platform, and fans can find 2022 Wrapped videos from the club's players including Robert Lewandowski, Alexia Putellas, Pedri and Ansu Fati.
