Tatiana Maslany reveals SOPHIE inspired her role in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
Tatiana Maslany has revealed that SOPHIE was an inspiration for her role in the new She-Hulk: Attorney at Law series.
While speaking to Variety, Tatiana Maslany discussed how SOPHIE inspired her dual role of She-Hulk and Jennifer Walters, "Musically, Sophie just lives in this place that I always want to live in, but there's a poppiness and femininity combined with these clashing industrial sounds."
Maslany added, "Her music video "Faceshopping" was all about skin, commodification of body and being separated into different parts, and that all felt thematically and spiritually connected."
The Grammy-nominated musician and producer died aged 34 in January 2021 following an accident in Greece.
Back in February, it was revealed that the International Astronomical Union named an asteroid after SOPHIE in summer 2021. The asteroid, discovered by Antonín Mrkos at the Kleť Observatory in the Czech Republic, was titled 1980 RE1, and was later given the permanant name of Sophiexeon.
