SZA reveals forthcoming deluxe edition of her album, SOS, is called Lana
On Friday (8 September) evening, SZA performed a surprise album celebration party at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and confirmed a deluxe edition of SOS will arrive later this year.
SZA released her second studio album, SOS, in December 2022. The album featured hit tracks such as "Kill Bill", "Gone Girl", and "F2F", and won Album of the Year at the 2023 BET Awards.
Despite having already taken the album out on tour around North America and Europe, SZA held a surprise album party in New York, where she confirmed that a deluxe edition is on the way. “The deluxe is like a whole ‘nother album,” she revealed to the crowd. “It’s called Lana. It’s seven to ten songs. And it’ll be out this fall!”
Elsewhere in the show, she performed a few unreleased tracks called “Saturn,” “Boy From South Detroit,” “PSA,” and “OD/Diamond Boy.” She also welcomed Ice Spice to the stage.
