Stormzy gatecrashes Monday Night Football after Manchester United win against Liverpool
After last night's (22 August) Premier League match with Manchester United and Liverpool, Manchester United supporter Stormzy made a surprise appearance on Monday Night Football to discuss their first win of the season.
Manchester United fan Stormzy made a surprise appearance on Monday Night Football last night (22 August) following Manchester United's 2-1 win against Liverpool to discuss the club's first win of the Premier League season so far. He revealed that he attended the game with his nephews, who also joined the artist on screen.
When asked for his thoughts on the game, Stormzy said, "That was amazing. That's the best we've been this season." Stormzy was then questioned if it's the best performance from Manchester United for "just this season", leading him to reply, "Well yeah, it's the best we've been for a long time."
He then commented on the direction Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is taking the club in, and apologised for being "a bit flustered". He added, "I've never met these lot before so, we were just walking past, we were starstruck and then someone gave me a mic and now I'm here, I'm like 'Yo, mum I've made it!'"
Stormzy also spoke about Cristiano Ronaldo, saying, "I feel like when you're that great, you can't speak on them man, you just got to let the man be great ... You gotta let the GOATs be the GOATs."
