Stella Rose shares details of new EP, Hollybaby
New York’s dark pop artist Stella Rose has shared details of her new EP Hollybaby.
The new EP arrives alongside the release of a new single, "Ms. 45". Speaking of the new single, Stella Rose says: “Between four walls, buzzing. The vocals barely treading water in their verses, before a live wire. Words strung like poetry. Scenes from Taxi Driver blaring off my computer screen. New York was present in this Los Angeles daze.”
Stella Rose’s new EP Hollybaby, which was produced alongside Yves Rothman, follows the release of her acclaimed 2023 debut album, Eyes of Glass. The writing process saw her differ from familiarity. Not only did she shift from her native New York to Los Angeles to complete her home recorded demos, she also adopted a more urgent style of writing, embracing time constraints and challenging herself to give her original ideas a “second life”.
Ahead of the EP release, Stella Rose embarks on a run of UK and EU tour dates, commencing at The Shacklewell Arms, London on 8 November.
Hollybaby, is set to be released through KRO Records on 13 December. For tickets and more information, visit stellarosegahan.com
