St. Vincent to host new 2023 podcast History Listen: Rock
It's been revealed that St. Vincent will host a new Audible podcast titled History Listen: Rock, which will debut in January 2023.
History Listen: Rock will see St. Vincent "trace the wild path of rock music through some key moments that formed a gigantic movement," and will highlight artists such as Big Mama Thornton, Sex Pistols, Bad Brains, Jimi Hendrix, Patti Smith and more.
Pitchfork reports that St. Vincent said of the podcast, "It’s been so fun going back through rock history and revisiting some of my favourite artists and songs, including a bunch that don’t get the recognition they should. When you put it all together, you can see how history repeats and echoes through generations, how music links the past to the present, artist-to-artist. And some of these stories are absolutely wild."
History Listen: Rock, hosted by St. Vincent, will be available on 12 January 2023.
