Spice Girls announce 25th anniversary expanded edition of Spiceworld
Spice Girls will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their second album Spiceworld with an expanded edition of the record that features bonus tracks, b-sides and more.
Following the 25th anniversary edition of their debut album Spice last year, Spice Girls are treating fans to a 25th anniversary expanded edition of their 1997 second album Spiceworld, which will feature demo versions, b-sides, and previously unreleased live recordings.
Spice Girls say, "The Spiceworld era was such a fun time for us; we’d just had a number one album with Spice, we were travelling all over the world and meeting our amazing fans, we released our second album AND we had our very own movie! Who would’ve thought it? It’s crazy to think that 25 years have passed."
Spiceworld spent three weeks at the top of the UK Official Albums Chart, and also topped album charts in 11 other territories. The album is certified five times platinum in the UK, and sold more than 14 million copies worldwide.
