Special Interest announce third album with Mykki Blanco collaboration "Midnight Legend"
New Orleans' Special Interest have announced their upcoming third album Endure, and have teamed up with Mykki Blanco on the lead single "Midnight Legend".
"Midnight Legend" featuring Mykki Blanco is the second outing from Special Interest's Endure album following May's "(Herman’s) House", and lands with a video directed by the group's lead vocalist Alli Logout.
Logout describes the new single as "a love song to all the girls leaving the club at 6AM, a love song to everybody who doesn’t have love around them. The ways we numb ourselves or participate in high-risk behaviour because we all feel so isolated and alone is also very much enabled by clubs, institutions, and party 'friends.' This song is about listening to people who never actually get heard."
Endure will follow the group's 2020 second album The Passion Of, and is produced by the band themselves. The new album was recorded at HighTower in New Orleans.
