Sophie Ellis-Bextor covers The Last Dinner Party’s “Nothing Matters” on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge
Following the resurgence of her 2001 hit, "Murder on the Dancefloor", due to being featured in the closing scene of Saltburn, Sophie Ellis-Bextor recently appeared on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge.
Over a decade since its original release, the song became Ellis-Bextor’s first Hot 100 hit, and led her to performed at the BAFTAs, and announce a 7" vinyl release for the first time as well as news of her first ever North American headline tour.
Earlier this week, Ellis-Bextor performed the track on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge, alongside a cover of The Last Dinner Party's breakout debut single, "Nothing Matters". When they heard about the cover, they shared it in disbelief on their socials, writing: "truly thought I’d dreamt this and checked this morning and I didn’t it was REAL what is HAPPENING".
The 7" vinyl, and limited-edition red CD single, of "Murder On The Dancefloor" are out now through Polydor/Universal Music Recordings.
