Soo Joo announces forthcoming debut EP, No Ghost
American-Korean musician, DJ and supermodel Soo Joo has announced her debut EP, No Ghost, alongside the release of her latest single, "Take It Off".
"All your thoughts, experiences, feelings, they add a layer to your soul and make you who you are. But do you ever feel tired of being burdened by your consciousness? Have you ever wished you can just strip off being in your own skin for a moment? I was having a conversation about living too much in my head as we wrote this. Then I thought, why not make it lighter by composing a dancey track to it," Soo Joo explains.
The EP also features the Hudson Mohawke collaboration, "Running Water", which Soo Joo shared last year in tandem with her first cover feature in Dazed Korea, and was included in EA Sports’ iconic soundtrack for FC24 (fka FIFA). Alongside Mohawke, Soo Joo also collaborated with Eli Keszler, Dave Sitek (TV On The Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Foals), Roidaidh MacDonald (The xx, King Krule, Sampha, Beck) and S-Type on the project.
Tracklist:
1. Intro (Good Grief) feat. Eli Keszler
2. Kiss Me
3. Take It Off
