SON Estrella Galicia returns to Two Palms Hackney with Kit Sebastian and Caleb Kunle
Following Soundhood Hackney, the two day micro-festival earlier this year, SON Estrella Galicia have announced their return to Two Palms on 11 December.
Alongside SON Estrella's signature focus on Live Music, Beer Culture, Street Food and Workshops, with accompanying DJs to be announced at a later date, London-based duo Kit Sebastian (aka Kit Martin and Merve Erdem) - who will be showcasing their new album New Internationale, meanwhile Caleb Kunle's performance will see him drawing inspiration from the three places he calls home – Lagos (Nigeria), Laois (Ireland), and London (UK).
SON Estrella Galicia has made its home at Paper Dress Vintage in Hackney, with four events in the past 18 months including performances and attendees including Los Bitchos, Coach Party, Teleman, Dream Wife, Prima Queen, DEADLETTER, Swim Deep and more. Earlier this year, they debuted their inaugural Soundhood Festival which saw them also host an event at Two Palms.
For December’s event there will be a Beer x Fuzz Pedal Workshop (capacity for 25 people) taking place ahead of the live music. Attendees will be able to do a free beer tasting comparing the different elements with different sounds emitted by a Fuzz pedal, created in collaboration with Lo Fi Mind Effects (a Spanish pedal craftsman).
Two Palms will be putting together a special gastronomic menu, with each meal matched with a Free Estrella Galicia beer to pair with it; and East London artist Robson Cezar AKA King Of The Bottletops will create a mural from Estrella Galicia bottle caps. This highlights in a creative way SON Estrella Galicia’s persistent efforts towards Positive Impact, and aiming for a Zero Waste event. This is a significant mission for the organisers, as SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia Festival in Formentera, Spain - has become the only festival in the world to achieve the True Platinum Zero Waste accreditation from GBCI.
SON Estrella Galicia's return to Two Palms takes place on 11 December. Tickets are on sale now via dice.fm.
