Snoop Dogg welcomed to Scotland with bagpipe rendition of "Still D.R.E."
To celebrate his arrival in Scotland yesterday (16 March), Snoop Dogg was greeted with a bagpipe version of "Still D.R.E." as he left the plane.
Yesterday (16 March) Snoop Dogg arrived in Glasgow to play a rescheduled show at the OVO Hydro, and was welcomed by Perthshire bagpiper Ross Ainslie, who played a bagpipe version of "Still D.R.E." on the airport tarmac.
Ainslie told STV News, "I only had one day to figure it out – I was looking at tunes online and it was the first one I found, so that’s what I went with."
"I spent all day yesterday just trying to work out how to play it," he continued. "There’s that incredibly catchy piano hook that I decided to go with, and it seemed to work out quite well."
He added, "He said, while we were taking the picture, that it was ‘dope as fuck’ – it’s a win in my eyes."
Back in January it was announced that Snoop Dogg, Sade and others will be inducted into Songwriters Hall of Fame this summer.
