Sinéad O’Connor’s cover of Nirvana’s "All Apologies" features in the trailer for Queer
Luca Guadagnino has unveiled the first trailer for his new film, Queer, adapted from the William S. Burroughs novel of the same name.
Queer follows a man named Lee, played by Daniel Craig, who flees from New Orleans to Mexico City, and becomes surrounded by a group of college students and bar owners who he recounts his life story to. Along the way, he becomes infatuated with a fellow expat and drug user named Allerton, who is played by Drew Starkey. Despite being written in the '50s, the book wasn't released until 1983.
Originally recorded for her 1994 album, Universal Mother, Sinéad O'Connor's cover of Nirvana's "All Apologies" – released in 1993 on the band's third and final studio album, In Utero – features in the trailer.
Following its screening at London's BFI Film Festival, Queer will be released in the UK/IE on 13 December.
