Sinéad O’Connor’s cause of death has been revealed
One year on from her death, Sinéad O'Connor's death has officially been revealed.
Last July, it was revealed that Irish acclaimed artist Sinéad O'Connor had passed away aged 56. In a public statement announcing her death, the singer’s family said: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad. Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”
Back in January, Southwark Coroners Court in London gave an update into the cause of O'Connor's death, ruling it as natural causes. The Irish Independent have revealed that her former husband John Reynolds formally registered her death certificate last Wednesday. The certificate says that her death was due to “exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma together with low grade lower respiratory tract infection.”
The official causes of death for Sinead O'Connor were asthma and COPD.
