Sheryl Crow duets with Olivia Rodrigo and Dolly Parton at Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction
On Saturday evening (4 November), Sheryl Crow was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on her first nomination.
Sheryl Crow joins the Class of 2023 inductees alongside Kate Bush, Missy Elliott, George Michael, Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine, and The Spinners.
Following a heartfelt speech from her good friend Laura Dern, Crow addressed the crowd, giving a speech about growing up with rock and roll, recounting memories such as going to to the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, Tennessee to see Peter Frampton when she was 14. "That was my first experience at a rock and roll show. The six of us were way up in the nosebleeds section, and we managed to crawl all the way down to the floor. I smelled weed for the first time, I got to sing along with tens of thousands of strangers to “Do You Feel Like I Do"," she said.

After her speech, she and then performed songs from her extensive back catalog with the help of Olivia Rodrigo, Stevie Nicks, and her icon Peter Frampton.
Recounting her love for Stevie Nicks, she said: "I honestly would not be who I am without her and I felt certain as a kid that because I could twirl a baton and have wavy blonde hair that we were probably related somehow. I found my command of words through her imagery and her melodies."
Later in the evening, Willie Nelson invited Crow to perform his song “Crazy” together. She also joined Elton John, Brittany Howard, and Chris Stapleton in singing the Band’s “The Weight” for the in memoriam segment.
On the eve of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Sheryl Crow announced the forthcoming release of her eleventh studio album, Evolution, on 29 March 2024.
