SHERELLE surprise drops her debut album, With A Vengeance

“When I first made the ‘FREAKY’ instrumental, I was extremely confused but knew there was something different about this song,” explains SHERELLE. “I’m super grateful to George as once I played it to her, she gave me the belief that the instrumental was strong enough to make a banger. It took her 15 minutes to change my mind about the track. I’ve never had so much fun in a session before! We only had an hour with each other but it’s turned into a beautiful lifelong memory between friends and we now have a beautiful song out of it. Forever grateful for her support throughout making it and adding the much-needed touch to this song.”

Made across 2024 between London and Amsterdam, WITH A VENGEANCE (or WAV for short) is the sound of SHERELLE making sense of a turbulent and difficult moment in time in her personal life. Determined to write one track a day, the studio became a safe space for SHERELLE to channel anger and feelings of betrayal.

“I’m super happy to have finally reached the point of releasing this album,” says SHERELLE. “It feels quite strange to have it out in the world, I’ve been thinking about it for so long. It’s great to overcome lots of negative thoughts and energy, and transform it into something cathartic and positive. Behind the scenes I’ve had a tough few years but finally feel like I'm in a good place mentally and personally thanks to this album and all the lovely people around me. WAV has been my soundboard of last year and I hope that people can feel the raw energy that comes from this album.”
