Sharon Van Etten, Kim Gordon, Angel Olsen, Alison Mosshart and more to perform at Patti Smith tribute concert
An all-star list of names have been revealed for a Patti Smith tribute concert, People Have the Power: Celebrating The Music Of Patti Smith, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of her debut album, Horses.
Taking place at New York’s Carnegie Hall, the 50th anniversary celebration of Horses, will feature a house band including the likes of Flea and Rolling Stones drummer Steve Jordan, as well as Patti Smith’s own longtime bandmates, guitarist Lenny Kaye and her bassist/keyboardist Tony Shanahan.
People Have the Power: Celebrating The Music Of Patti Smith will feature performances from Sharon Van Etten, Kim Gordon, Angel Olsen, Alison Mosshart of The Kills, The National's Matt Berninger, Courtney Barnett, Karen O of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ben Harper, Michael Stipe, and The Kronos Quartet.
People Have the Power: Celebrating The Music Of Patti Smith will take place on 26 March 2025.
