EFG London Jazz Festival has announced new names for its 2024 edition which takes place from 15-24 November, including the likes of Brandee Younger, Imelda May and Andrew Bird.

With tickets to his show on 16 November sold out, legendary guitarist Pat Metheny has added an extra night on 15 November. Max Roach was one of the most influential and widely recorded modern percussionists, so to celebrate what would have been his 100th birthday, trumpeter Charles Tolliver - who performed alongside Roach early in his career - is coming together with Darrell Green on drums, Camille Thurman on tenor saxophone and an all star UK big band led by Tony Kofi at the Barbican on 18 November.

Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, whistler, and songwriter Andrew Bird and his trio will perform on 19 November at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, meanwhile Irish singer Imelda May will be joined by Norwegian singer and guitarist Bernhoft at the same venue during the festival's second week.

Nigerian musician and band leader Seun Kuti, the youngest son of legendary afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, will play KOKO in Camden on Sunday, 17 November, whilst Italian soul singer Mario Biondi plays the same venue on Sunday, 24 November.

On Thursday 21 November, EFG London Jazz Festival favourite Avishai Cohen will perform on his trumpet alongside an opening set from singer and harpist Sophye Soliveau. The following night will welcome multi instrumentalist and electronic producer Sam Gendel for the second year in a row, this time performing alongside longtime collaborator and bassist Sam Wilkes.

EFG London Jazz Festival takes place from 15-24 November. For more information, visit efglondonjazzfestival.org.uk.
