Seraphina Simone releases Wild EP
Seraphina Simone has unveiled the brand new single, "Wild" as the focus track of her eponymous EP.
"Better Days", "Blue Eyes", and "Liverpool" precede the brand new single, "Wild", which is taken from the follow-up to her 2022 debut EP, Milk Teeth.
“I read Women Who Run With The Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés and it was like pulling back a curtain to a part of myself I didn’t know existed. The knotty, wild, raging part of my psyche that as women we’re conditioned to ignore and repress. So much of my self-worth was dependent on how others saw me, so I smoothed and coiffed a version of myself that would be liked, accepted, wanted," Simone explains. "The book made me realise there was a river of rage and grief and sadness and complexity that I’d suppressed, and the songs poured out as mementos of heartbreak, uncertainty, frustration and a desperate need to figure out who I was underneath.
"Wild" was co-written with Dan Ewins (Harry Styles, Ina Wroldsen), produced by Seraphina and Tommy Hill (aka the artist I Know I Know), before being completed with mixing from James Kenosha.
All four of Seraphina’s recent singles will feature on the Wild EP, which will be completed by the as yet unreleased "Big Love". Seraphina wrote and produced every track, with other collaborators including Matt Wills (Charlotte Plank, Alice Merton) and the acclaimed post-classical artist Jay Chakravorty.
