Seraphina Simone presents the brand new single, "Liverpool"
London-based artist Seraphina Simone has returned with the brand new single, "Liverpool".
"Liverpool" follows last year’s debut EP, Milk Teeth. The track was solely written by Seraphina Simone, and she co-produced it alongside Jay Chakravorty.
Announcing the song on her socials, she said: "I wrote this one damp grey morning outside a cafe in Liverpool, while on tour with Self Esteem last year. The song arrived fully formed, halfway through my brownie & cuppa".
Elaborating further on the single, she added: ""Liverpool" is a memento mori to love and a eulogy for the power of relationships. Love is savage and beautiful and a time capsule and a time traveller, and love can fade and the people we love can fade away. But the marks we make in each other last forever like striations in landscapes changing with time, and it can be both wonderful and exhausting.”
After a big year of touring as part of Self Esteem’s live band (including three headline sets at the Eventim Apollo, Wembley Stadium as guests to Blur and headlining Green Man), Seraphina Simone now gets the second stage of her solo career underway with the release of her new single "Liverpool".
