SBTRKT unveils collaboration with Toro Y Moi "Days Go By"
Following the release of his collaboration with Teezo Touchdown, SBTRKT unveils new Toro Y Moi single "Days Go By".
SBTRKT has unveiled the new track "Days Go By" featuring Toro y Moi, after recently announcing his forthcoming album The Rat Road and sharing its lead single "Waiting" with Teezo Touchdown.
"Waiting" featuring Teezo Touchdown was SBTRKT's first outing of 2023, following December's LEILAH collaboration "FORWARD". Both songs will also appear on his upcoming third album.
Speaking about "Days Go By" SBTRKT says: “I first met Chaz [Toro Y Moi] back in 2012 when we were both playing on a festival tour around Australia. It wasn’t until 2018 that I got around to saying ‘what’s up’ again and made a trip out to Oakland to hang and make some tunes. We reconnected a bunch more times over a couple of years — in London and on another trip to Paris — which was something that made sense with the track’s influences and turned the song into this weird international collaboration! Once the pandemic hit, I had to sit on the music for quite a while, but the timing feels right and I’m happy that it’s out in the world now!”
The Rat Road is SBTRKT's first studio album in over eight years, which will follow his 2016 surprise project SAVE YOURSELF, and his 2014 album Wonder Where We Land.
SBTRKT will headline his first show of the year at Outernet in London on 25 May. Tickets will be available at saveyourself.tv.
