Sam Smith announced as final artist on the Barbie soundtrack
Sam Smith has announced their song "Man I Am" is set to feature on the forthcoming soundtrack to Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie.
"Man I Am" is said to be written from the perspective of Ken. The track was written in collaboration with musician and producer Mark Ronson.
Taking to their socials, Sam Smith announced the track, saying: "I cannot begin to express how incredibly excited I am to be a part of the soundtrack to this already iconic film."
The Ronson-produced album features the likes of Billie Eilish's "What Was I Made For?", “Speed Drive” by Charlie XCX, PinkPantheress’ track “Angel", global recording artist KAROL G’s high-energy anthem, “WATATI" (featuring Aldo Ranks) and the lead single “Dance The Night” from GRAMMY Award-winning global superstar Dua Lipa, who also makes a special appearance in the film.

Further songs are still set to debut from the soundtrack, including ones from Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Haim, Dominic Fike, and many more.
Sam Smith recently collaborated with Madonna on the track "Vulgar". The pair first crossed paths when Madonna presented Smith and Kim Petras the Grammy Award for their collaboration, "Unholy".
"Man I Am" arrives on 21 July alongside the full Barbie movie soundtrack.
