Sade has been recording new music at Brad Pitt and Damien Quintard's reopened Miraval Studios
Damien Quintard and Brad Pitt, who are reopening the legendary Miraval Studios in France, have confirmed that Sade has been working on new material at the studio.
In a new interview with Billboard, Quintard and Pitt spoke about reopening the legendary French recording studio Miraval Studios, which is located at the Château Miraval and has been inactive since 2006.
According to the piece, Miraval Studios, which has hosted The Cure, Pink Floyd, Courtney Love, AC/DC, Super Furry Animals, The Cranberries and many more, will formally reopen this month, but they've already had a few people in working on new music.
The duo confirmed that Sade, who hasn't released new music since 2018's "Flower Of The Universe", has been recording there, and was actually the first artist to use the renovated studio.
Quintard said, "You could feel the love that she and the band had for this place. And when we talked to musicians who came here previously, they all have this special connection with Miraval that can't really be explained … It’s a dream come true to see this place activate again."
Sade's last album was 2010's Soldier of Love.
