Sad Night Dynamite drop new single, "Sick of Your Sound"
The single is debuted as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record, and comes ahead of the band's intimate London residency this week, at The George Tavern.
"Sick of Your Sound" is the new single from Sad Night Dynamite, which premiered as Radio 1’s Hottest Record and is available now alongside a volatile new video.
The band describe "Sick of Your Sound' as “a breath of fresh rotten air. We wrote it at a time when we were feeling completely bloated with pointless information, coming mainly from online. The world is a confusing place, and ‘Sick of Your Sound’ is ultimately a reaction to that.”
Things that Sad Night Dynamite are sick of right now includes - but is not limited to - “a Karen complaining in the supermarket. A group of people vaping. PDA. Anti-abortion protesters. A podcaster waffling. Eating food on public transport. Runners on Strava. Craft beer. People that are rude to waiters. Standing on the wrong side of the escalator. Talking loudly on the phone. Loud breathers…”.
The "Sick of Your Sound" artwork also features a bespoke piece from enigmatic and widely celebrated British artists The Connor Brothers, whose work is included in the V&A, The Penguin Collection and have previously collaborated with the likes of Banksy and in aid of French refugee camp The Jungle.
The Connor Brothers comment: "from time to time we get the opportunity to work with young, hugely talented, artists, doing incredible things. Meeting Sad Night Dynamite, we instantly knew they were all of those things. Their music and message resonates with us, and this track is particularly apt given the shit-show that is the current state of the world. We’re delighted to get a chance to play a small role in their exciting journey.”
