S Club to release first new music in two decades as tribute to Paul Cattermole
The new single, "These Are The Days" is a tribute to the late band member Paul Cattermole.
In April, it had been announced that Cattermole had passed away aged 46. The news came just weeks after it was announced that S Club 7 would be celebrating their 25th anniversary with a reunion tour which was set to see all seven members back on stage together for the first time in nine years.
The forthcoming single is performed by existing band members Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara and Rachel Stevens, the song is by the songwriting team of Cathy Dennis, Simon Ellis, Johanne Ellis and producer John Nathaniel.
Following the passing of Cattermole, S Club announced their intention to continue as a five-piece when Hannah Spearritt decided to leave the group. She has announced that she will release a tell-all memoir at around the same time as their forthcoming tour.
"These Are The Days" marks the group’s 25th anniversary and precedes a sold out UK arena tour which has been renamed “S Club: The Good Times Tour” as a tribute to Cattermole by taking the name of an S Club song and a fan favourite on which he sang lead vocals.
“These Are The Days” is out on 26 July via Universal Music UK.
